On your wedding day, arrive by wedding car or if you want something more unique, arrive by boat to our boathouse, or by horse and carriage or on horseback through our ‘port la couer’ at the front of the castle.

Part of the uniqueness of Markree is that you and your guests use Markree as you would your own home, with a drinks’ reception in the Grand Hall in front of the fire, a five-course banquet in our unique individual adjoining dining rooms and dancing in the specially designed entertainment suite, which features a Gin and Whiskey bar. It’s like a house party in a castle!

Guests can use our Butlers kitchen – a hidden gem where late night food and the wedding cake are served with tea and coffee, while the wedding couple can relax before dinner with their own private mini bar in our Billiard Room.
